Obituary for Donna M Beaubien

Donna M Beaubien
CHELMSFORD-Donna M. Beaubien, "Miss Beaubien", 59, a beloved and well known first grade school teacher at St. Margaret School in Lowell, died on Monday, February 21st, at her home after a long, well-fought battle with ovarian cancer. Born in Chelmsford, November 13, 1951, the daughter of the late Herbert A. and Mary F. (McHugh) Beaubien and sister of the late H. Wayne Beaubien and Kevin M. Beaubien, both of Chelmsford.
A lifelong resident of Chelmsford, Donna graduated from Chelmsford High School and Lowell State Teachers College. She was a proud member of the CHS Cheerleading Squad and as a young teacher, the spirited coach of the St. Margaret School Girls Basketball Team. Donna was a board member of the St. Margaret Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality and a National Junior Beta Society sponsor for many years.
Donna co-founded Celebrating Friends, Inc., a greeting card company that wrote and produced "Messages of Hope" for cancer patients. In her later years, her passion was the establishment of an Alumni Association at St. Margaret School. She experienced incredible joy as she found and reconnected with former students spanning 3 generations.
Miss Beaubien committed her entire life to the children and families at SMS and she never forgot the names of anyone who ever walked its halls. She was considered a leader amongst her peers, a mentor and hero to her students and a friend to all. Visitation will be held at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD, on Friday from 4 until 8pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30am at St. Margaret Church, 374 Stevens St., Lowell. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Donna Beaubien Legacy Fund, Enterprise Bank, 185 Littleton Road, Chelmsford, MA 01824.
