CHELMSFORD – Janet L. (Burnet) Olsson, 95, a longtime resident of Chelmsford died Friday, December 28th at Sunny Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chelmsford. She was the wife of the late Carl H. Olsson who died in 2006 and to whom she was married for 62 years.

She was born in Edinburgh Scotland on June 27, 1917, and was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Herbertson) Burnet. She received her education in Scotland schools.

Prior to her retirement, Janet was employed for many years as nurse’s aide.

She was a longtime member of the Central Congregational Church in Chelmsford.

Janet is survived by her two grandchildren, Erik Olsson of Minneapolis, MN, Maryellen J. and her wife Megan L. Olsson of Chelmsford; a sister, Violet Fairweather of Scotland, ; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Carl A. Olsson who died in 1995, and the mother-in-law of the late Judith Olsson who died in 2011.

It being her wish, there will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Graveside Service on Thursday at 11 o’clock at Pine Ridge Cemetery, 130 Billerica Rd., Chelmsford.
