Obituary for Charlotte "Ruth" Norris

CHELMSFORD – Charlotte “Ruth” (Spear) Norris, 82, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Palm Center Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of Richard R. Norris with whom she would have celebrated 62 years of marriage on November 9th.

Ruth was born in Somerville, MA on January 2, 1932 and was a daughter of the late Irville H. and Letitia Blanche (Johnsen) Spear.

She received her education in Woburn schools and was a 1950 graduate of Woburn High School.

Ruth was a talented seamstress and a great cook. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chelmsford. Above all, Ruth treasured the time spent in the company of her family and friends.

In addition to her loving husband, Ruth is survived by her children; Steven Norris and his wife Lucy of Medford, David Norris and his wife Lisa of Chelmsford, James Norris and his wife Patricia of Pepperell, Debra Blais and her husband Richard of Tucson, AZ, and Linda Ternullo and her fiancé Andy Mancuso of Chelmsford; and her seven grandchildren; John Blais of Tucson, AZ, Brian Norris of Chelmsford, Samantha Norris of Nashua, NH, Alexandra Norris of Pepperell, Andrew Norris of Pepperell, Alyssa Ternullo of Chelmsford, and Stephen Ternullo of Stoneham. She also leaves her sister H. Elaine Spear of Phoenix, AZ and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will take place on Monday from 4 to 8 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD.

Funeral services and interment will be private.
