Obituary for Ruth C. Ericson (Puntoni)
NASHUA, NH – Ruth Ericson, 83, a former longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl D. Ericson who died in 1992.
Ruth was born in Malden on November 1, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth (Monahan) Puntoni. Ruth worked for 20 years for Purity Supreme, and after retirement, volunteered at the Lowell General Hospital gift shop. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and trips to York, ME.
Ruth is survived by her three loving children; Neal S. Ericson and his wife Allison of Londonderry, NH, Debra Meredith and her husband James of Westford, and David Ericson and his wife Kim of Billerica; four grandchildren; Bethany Nazzaro and her husband Kevin of Wilmington, Scott Meredith and his girlfriend Margaret Ludt of Amherst, NH, Sean Meredith and his wife Jackie of Baltimore, MD, and Eric Meredith of Westford; two great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; three siblings; her sister Nancy Lane of Lynnfield, her brother Raymond Puntoni and wife Cina of Maynard, her sister Geraldine Trickett and her husband Robert of Lynnfield; and many nieces and nephews. Ruth was pre-deceased by her brother, Gerald.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-7 PM at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford, MA.
Her Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 11 AM, followed by interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
