Obituary for Cleo N Fredette Jr.

CHELMSFORD – Cleo N. Fredette, Jr., 68, of Chelmsford, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of Carol F. (Mulligan) Fredette with whom he would have celebrated their 46th anniversary in June.

He was born in Gardner on September 16, 1946 and was the son of the late Cleo N. and Lillian (Cychol) Fredette.

Prior to his retirement, Cleo was employed as the Special Education Director for the Wilmington Public School System for over 30 years.

He was a champion for Special Education and believed strongly and worked passionately for the rights of special needs children and disabled adults.
A fun loving person, Cleo adapted to his chemotherapy treatments and brought his love of life to the cancer center at Lowell General Hospital when he came for his treatments.

In addition to his loving wife, Carol, Cleo is survived by his sons, Jason and Matthew, a daughter-in-law Kate, and two granddaughters, Penelope and Olive, the loves of his life. He reveled in all of their accomplishments. He is also survived by his in-laws; David and Peg Mulligan, Joe Mulligan, Nancy Ashley, Jane and Raymond Lacasse and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours on Monday from 4 to 8 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 o’clock at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
