The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of George Naumann can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I'm so sad tonight as I read about George's passing. I worked with him in the early 90's and we always stayed in touch -- getting together for lunch ever few years and he always offered me good career advice and shared a few laughs. Thank you George for your kindness and friendship over the years. Until we meet again, rest in peace.

Condolence: It has been quite a few years since I've seen Uncle George, which I'm sorry to admit. However, I remember him very well, particularly from when I was a kid and young man. Many family Thanksgivings come to mind, gathered around the dining room table at Nana's house, the kids at the card table while we were small enough to fit. Sharing stories of the far flung family's adventures and memories. Everyone used to remark about how tall George was, which they did to me as well as I grew. They always said how it came from Great Grandfather Gault, who apparently was even taller still. My mom, George's oldest sister Pauline, was always so proud of her brother; his industriousness, his hard work continuing his education, and just his happy, open demeanor.
I was saddened to learn of Uncle George's passing, the circle of family growing smaller. I will keep his place in that circle by telling the stories that include him in the circle of my family.

Love always,
Doug Farrell

Condolence: Dear Jan and family,
Thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. There are no words to take away your sorrow but may you find comfort knowing what a wonderful and kind friend George was. Although we had not seen George in some time we have many wonderful memories of times we all shared at the car shows. I will always look back at the time we all got stuck in that elevator and George was the spokes person for us when we had to call 911 to help get us out. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Condolence: George was a special friend for fifty years. He was unique — loving, giving, entertaining, talented…
I will miss him in my heart but keep him close in my memories. My heart goes out to Jan and family.

Condolence: We will miss George with all our hearts. He was my best friend. So many fond memories and stories! George was a special character who never failed to entertain us with the "adventures" he experienced in life. We used to call him "the black-cloud" as he would articulate one event after another of his real-life chronicles which were HILARIOUS! Some of the memories (topics-only) include: Lobsters at the Escadrille; Brambles for just "one drink"; Maine lobsters with vendor-friends; The Black Rose on "several" St Patrick's days; Social events with Jan & George and our Telco friends; Boating; and so many more.
Georges' life events were humorous and we never tired of hearing the latest
"adventure" was coming next!
Words can't express how much I will miss this truly fine man. All our love thoughts and prayers are with Jan & family.
