LOWELL-Shannon Marie Nelson, nee Staplin, 51, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 at her home in Lowell. She was born in Milford, CT on September 5, 1964 and was predeceased by her mother, Ellen Staplin, nee Baldwin and sister, Margaret Staplin.

Shannon graduated from Chelmsford High School and attended UMASS Lowell. She was employed at Honeywell Information Systems for several years as well as other local businesses.

She is survived by her daughter, Shaelagh Nelson of Merrimack, NH, her father, Theodore Staplin and wife Judith Holaday of Carlsbad, CA, brothers Kyle Staplin of New York, NY, Ryan Staplin of Amherst, MA, Mark Staplin of Shanghai, China, and step-sisters Catherine Klabouch of Phoenix, AZ and Anna Vino of Miami FL as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

It being the family’s wish there will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 1 o’clock at the Central Congregational Church, UCC, One Worthen St., Chelmsford.

Interment will be private.
