Obituary for Susan Tremblay

Susan Tremblay
LOWELL – Susan (Confort) Tremblay, 57, a longtime resident of Lowell, died peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Merrimack Valley Hospice in Haverhill. Susan leaves her beloved fiancé and soul mate, Glenn Heyl. She was the loving wife and devoted caregiver of the late Gerard J. Tremblay, Jr. who died in 1999.

She was born in Lowell on July 20, 1958 and was a daughter of the late Mitchell J. and Florence (Long) Confort.

A member of the National Honor Society, Susan was a 1976 graduate of Chelmsford High School. She received her Registered Nurse degree from Middlesex Community College, graduating with honors. Susan had a kind and loving heart and a nurturing personality which made nursing the perfect vocation for her. While she did not work in the nursing field for very long, she never stopped using her talents and was a caregiver to many members of her family. Susan loved her cats, often adopting the neediest ones and nursing them back to health. She previously worked as a Fitness Instructor and enjoyed gymnastics, karaoke, and was a member of the bowling league at Brunswick Lanes in Lowell.

In addition to her fiancé, Susan leaves her dear lifelong friend, Catherine Clark Lake of Sun City Center, FL, and many loved ones including the Tremblay family. She also leaves two aunts, Mary Long and May Cheetham, a brother, Michael Confort, sister June Confort and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visiting hours Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the Blake Funeral, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford.

Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 11 o’clock followed by interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
