Obituary for Colleen Ann Kelly (Kelly)
Colleen A. Kelly, 47, a resident of Westford, died Saturday March 12, 2016 at her home in the arms of her parents, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the incredibly loved daughter of Edward P. Kelly, Jr. and Frances H. (Belle Isle) Kelly.
She was a dynamic, hardworking woman who was employed by Phoenix Trading Company.
Colleen lived in a world surrounded by books. She was an avid reader who could breeze through a lengthy piece of literature in a day. Watching old movies with her parents brought her great joy. Colleen was very musical and loved to share all her knowledge about the history of music. She was absolutely passionate about ice cream. She would make weekly trips to J.P. Licks in Newton just to satisfy her cravings. A natural born foodie, Colleen could confidently recommend wonderful restaurants all over New England.
Over the years, Colleen has received countless prayers from all over the world to help her through her journey with cancer. Those prayers were greatly appreciated by Colleen and her parents.
In addition to her devoted parents, Colleen will be dearly missed by her relatives and countless friends that she met throughout her fulfilled life.
It being Colleen’s wish, there will be no visitation. Relatives and Friends are invited to her Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at 11 AM in St. Irene Church, 187 East Street, Carlisle, MA. Interment will be held privately. To honor Colleen’s love of animals, donations may be made to: MSPCA Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. Arrangements under the care of BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD, MA 01824.
