Carol A  Gibbons (Amiss)
CHELMSFORD- Carol A. (Amiss) Gibbons, 83, a longtime Chelmsford resident, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Leominster Crossing. She was the beloved wife of the late William F. Gibbons who died in 2012.

Born on November 28, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Tazwell and Anastasia (Broderick) Amiss.

Carol was a loving and involved mother and grandmother and was a strong, positive force in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was most alive when visiting Maine and she especially enjoyed her trips to Bar Harbor. Carol had a talent for sewing, knitting, and woodworking. She loved to read and you seldom found her without at least one book in progress.

Carol is survived by her three children; Linda Santaguida and her husband David of North Brookfield, Laura Lawrence and her husband Archie of Pepperell, and Stephen Gibbons of Salem, NH. She also leaves seven grandchildren; Matthew, Michael, Angela, Jessica, Andrew, Jamie, and Lisa, and six great grandchildren; Cassie, Alex, Stephanie, Calley, Krista, Jonathan, Daniela, and Avery. She is survived by her sister, Gertrude Gray and her husband, Arthur of FL and a sister-in-law Susan Amiss of Meredith, NH. Carol was the sister of the late Adele Foley and Brooke Amiss.

At the request of her family, services will be PRIVATE.
