Obituary for Patrick John Lane
Patrick J. Lane, 26, a longtime resident of Chelmsford and former resident of Del Ray Beach, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. He was the beloved son of Walter V. Lane Jr. and Heidi K. (O’Donnell) Lane of Chelmsford.
Patrick was a graduate of Austin Preparatory School, Class of 2008 and then attended UMass Lowell. He worked for Berglund Homes in sales and marketing. While in Del Ray, Pat worked as a counselor and interventionist.
He will always be remembered by the countless people he counseled during their recovery. Most people, when they think of Pat, will remember an amazing individual who always had a smile for everyone. His wonderful sense of humor and personality lit up a room.
Patrick enjoyed spending time at Plum Island with his family and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing and boating in Del Ray and Plum Island.
He is survived by his grandmother, Barbara (Dempsey) (O’Donnell) Walker of Billerica. He was the grandson to the late John H. Walker of Billerica, and Walter and Alice (Carey) Lane of Billerica. His godparents, Charlie and Barbie (Arnie) Cooke of Billerica, and their son, Matthew, who was not just a cousin, but a little brother. Other Aunts and Uncles include: Jim and Brenda O’Donnell of Billerica, Dick and Donna (Lane) Matte of Newbury, NH; Kevin and Susan Lane of Deltona, Florida; Dennis and Kathy Lane of Tyngsboro, and Tom Lane of Billerica. He will be missed by his cousins, Adam, Ricky, Keith, Eric, Todd, Carrie, Kim, Shannon, Patrick, and the late Michael Kevin Lane. Patrick was very fortunate to have many true and special friends in his life that Wally and Heidi are thankful for.
Relatives and friend are invited to his visitation to be held on SUNDAY, April 3, 2016 from 2 until 4 PM in the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at 11 AM in St. Mary Church, Chelmsford. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
