Obituary for Theresa Furlong (Ehm)
CHELMSFORD – Theresa Furlong passed away at D’Youville Senior Care on Tuesday, May 10, 2016.
She was born May 30, 1934, one of seven children of the late Ottilie and Joseph Ehm of Greenfield, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband, James D. Furlong, a son Douglas and his wife Tricia, three grandchildren; Catherine, John and Allison of Walpole, a sister Mary Stratton and brother George Ehm of Iowa.
Theresa received her R.N. at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa, her B.N. at St. Louis University and her M.S. at Boston College. She enjoyed her nursing career at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston and her teaching career at Northern Essex Community College, University of Lowell, and Greater Lowell Technical High School.
She was an active member at the Chelmsford Senior Center and enjoyed her many volunteering activities.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Chelmsford Adult Senior Care, 75 Groton Road, N. Chelmsford, MA 01863.
Per her request, calling hours are omitted. Family and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Saturday at 9 o’clock at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Road, Chelmsford. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
