Obituary for Ellen Gregorio (Carr)
CHELMSFORD- Ellen (Carr) Gregorio, 89, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, died peacefully Monday evening, May 23, 2016 at Lowell General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Anthony S. Gregorio.
Ellen was born in Boston on March 29, 1927. She was the daughter of the late William C. and Alma (Swanson) Carr. Ellen was a graduate of Arlington High School.
In her free time, Ellen loved to cook. She also enjoyed time spent in her backyard and days she could spend with her dog, Brutus. Above all, Ellen enjoyed being home with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Ellen is survived by her three sons, Stephen W.J. Gregorio and his wife Beverlyanne of Chelmsford, Kevin A. Gregorio and his wife Georgianna of Brooksville, FL, and Robert A. Gregorio of Westchester, PA; and her four grandchildren, Matthew S. Gregorio of Chelmsford, Michael A. Gregorio of Alexandria, VA, Daniel C. Gregorio and Samuel W. Gregorio both of Peabody.
She was predeceased by her seven siblings, Alma Olsen, William Carr, George Carr, Donald Carr, Warren Carr, Ethel Powell, and Marie Lafolley.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 26th from 4 until 7 PM at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford.
Burial will be held privately in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472. Alzmass.org.
