Obituary for Jean L Rowe (Crosby)
Jean L. (Crosby) Rowe, 82, of Billerica, former longtime Chelmsford resident, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, May 29, 2016 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Rowe who predeceased her in September of 1975.
Jean was born in Boston on August 11, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Mabel (Ott) Crosby.
She was a registered nurse for 29 years and retired from Lowell General Hospital in 1981.
In her early years, Jean enjoyed traveling to many different destinations but her greatest joy was her family whom she loved immensely.
She is survived by her children, Glenn Rowe of Manchester, NH, Kim Rowe of Billerica, Kurt Rowe and his wife Leanne of Hudson, NH and Craig Rowe and his wife Sirena of Hudson, NH; two daughter-in-laws, Leslie Rowe, widow of the late Steven Rowe of Nashua, NH and Carrie Rowe, widow of the late Norman Rowe of Billerica. She is also survived by her brother Roy Crosby Jr. of Rye, NH; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her extended family.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 31st, from 4 until 8 PM at BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. Her Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1st at 10 AM. Interment to follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s name to LUNGevity, 228 South Wabash Avenue, Suite 700, Chicago, Illinois 60604.
