Obituary for Gladys M. Daughraty (Cormier)
Gladys M. (Cormier) Daughraty, 90, a 70- year resident of East Chelmsford, died peacefully on Monday June 13, 2016 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the wife of the late John T. Daughraty.
Born in Billerica on June 30, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Mildred (Logan) Cormier.
She loved spending time outdoors whenever possible. Gladys was the matriarch of a large family who she loved dearly.
Survivors include five children; Charles J. Daughraty of Manchester, NH, Joanne and Leo Lemire of NC, Beverly and Donald Bourassa of AZ, Judith and Thomas Lehouillier of Chelmsford, John and Mary Daughraty of Ashby; as well as her grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Edward Cormier, Robert Cormier, Henry Cormier, Louise Smith and Helen Kinton.
It being her request, funeral services were held privately with her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gladys may be made to: American Heart Association, PO BOX 417005, Boston, MA 02241.
