Obituary for Donette Rae Foster (Alford)
CHELMSFORD—Donette “Donna” Rae (Alford) Foster, a longtime Chelmsford resident, passed away peacefully in her family home on Monday, June 13, 2016. She was 84 years old. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles.
Donna was born in Westfield, NY, on July 23, 1931, to John K. and Pauline B. (Allen) Alford. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Immanuel Church in Chelmsford for many years. She loved spending time at the ocean, especially the Cape. She loved and found great joy in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Jamie Hunt and her husband Timothy of Chelmsford, Eric Foster of Chelmsford, Marcella Kinney and her husband Bobby of Chelmsford, Bev Mosely and her husband Bob of Newport News, VA, John Foster and his wife Tammie of Wheaton IL; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; her sister and brother in law Winifred and Bill Chapman of Norfolk, VA, and was the mother-in-law of the late Deborah Foster.
Per Donna’s wishes, there will be no visitation.
The funeral service will be held at Immanuel Church, 301 Boston Road, Chelmsford on June 25 at 11 AM.
Interment will be held privately.
