Obituary for Silvana Dorigatti (Chicco)
CHELMSFORD – Silvana (Chicco) Dorigatti, 95, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Northwood Rehabilitation Center in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of the late Giacomo Dorigatti who died in 1997.
She was born in Isola, D'Istria, Italy on August 28, 1920 and was a daughter of the late Rodolfo Santori and Anna Chicco.
Silvana was employed for over 20 years as a seamstress for Baron Peters in Boston. She enjoyed sewing and crafting in her free time. She was a communicant of St. Mary Parish in Chelmsford.
Silvana is survived by a daughter Ariella Grady of Chelmsford, a son Frank Dorigatti and his wife Catherine of Waltham, four grandchildren; Debbie Mathis and her husband Steven of Chelmsford, Laurie Couillard and her husband Patrick of Chelmsford, Anna Maria Dorigatti of Reading, and Sandra Palermo and her husband Michael of Reading, and six great-grandchildren; Patrick and Sarah, Jessica and Nicole, and Alexandra and Nicholas.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 o’clock at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Parish Sanctuary Fund, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford, MA 01824. Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
