Constance Ann  Pickard (Greenwood)
CHELMSFORD – Constance Ann (Greenwood) Pickard, 85, a lifelong resident of Chelmsford, passed away Friday July 8, 2016. She was the wife of the late Raymond H. Pickard, and loving mother of Colleen McArdle of Chelmsford.

She was born January 6, 1931, and was a daughter of the late Raymond H. and Kathryn J. (Shore) Greenwood.

Constance attended Chelmsford schools and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School Class of 1949. She went on to earn her associate degree from Massachusetts School of Physiotherapy in Boston. She was employed by the Chelmsford Schools as a Special Needs teacher.

She was a longtime member of the Central Baptist Church, where she was active on the Christian Education Board and the Church Cabinet. She also served as the church basketball coach when their team won many championships. Constance was a member of the Chelmsford Republican Town Committee. She enjoyed music, loved children and was an avid Boston Celtics fan.

In addition to her daughter Colleen, Constance is survived by a sister; Nancy Butler of Tyngsboro, and brothers; Robert Greenwood of Chelmsford and Ronald Greenwood and his wife Anne Marie of Chelmsford, and many nieces and nephews. Constance was predeceased by her loving son in-law; Michael McArdle, siblings; Eileen Fletcher, and Raymond and Russell Greenwood.

Visiting hours are on Monday, July 11th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 12th at 10 o’clock at the Central Baptist Church, 9 Academy St., Chelmsford. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
