Ronald B. Young, 91, died peacefully at his home, Thursday, July 14, 2016 after a prolonged illness. He was happily married to his wife Marion for 63 years.

He was born in Camden, NJ on March 7, 1925 and was the son of the late William Frederick Young and Margaret (Boyle) Young. He came from a large family and had six brothers and two sisters.

Ronald served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the battleship SS Calhoun stationed in the Pacific. After the war he received his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Drexel University. Ronald spent the majority of his career working as an electrical engineer in both the computer and aerospace industries.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four children, Susan E. Young of London, England, Ronald W. Young of Florida, Karen M. Young and her husband Edward S. Goldman of CT, and Mark A. Young and his wife Sherri of NY; his grandchildren, Roxann Young, Diana Goldman, Jared Young, and Adam Young. He is also survived by his two sisters Margaret Toner and Delores Devaney of NJ as well as his brother Leo Young of California.

Ronald was the father of the late Brian Joseph Young, the grandfather of the late Sarah Margaret Goldman, and father-in-law of the late Jeremy Harding-Edgar.

Ronald was an avid golfer, history buff, loyal Red Sox fan and a devoted family man. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20th from 4 until 6:30 PM at BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford. His Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 21st at 10 AM in St. Irene Church, Carlisle. Interment will be held privately.
