Stasia  Wojtas (Christynia)
CHELMSFORD- Stasia (Christynia) Wojtas, 94, a resident of Chelmsford since 1949, died peacefully at her home on Saturday morning, July 23, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Frank Wojtas who passed away in 1979.

Stasia was born in Dracut, MA on July 6, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Wazocha) Christynia. She received her education and graduated from Dracut High School with the class of 1940.

Stasia will always be remembered for her warm, witty, energetic, humorous conversations. She was the mother of seven children, who were all the apple of her eye. Stasia enjoyed traveling, gardening, Scrabble playing, reading, ice cream, and working hard. Above all, her most cherished memories were spent with her family.

She had numerous jobs, including school bus driving and teaching, as well as many home projects, including selling chicken eggs, making fish pools, and building stone walls. She also enjoyed volunteering her time to the Chelmsford School Department as an Aide as well as with Meals on Wheels.

Stasia is survived by her children, Charles Wojtas and his wife Joan of Chelmsford, Frank Wojtas of Chelmsford, Patricia Wojtas of Chelmsford, Peter Wojtas and his wife Alina of Holden, MA, Robert Wojtas of Chelmsford, Marie Wojtas of Chelmsford, and Kathy Wojtas of Cambridge, MA; as well as her five grandchildren, Enid, Stacey, Frank, Adam, and Jason; her three great-grandchildren as well as her nieces.

She was predeceased by her 11 siblings.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27th at BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD from 4 until 8 PM. Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, July 28th at St. Irene Church, Carlisle, at 10 AM. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment to follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stasia's name to St. Irene Church, 181 East Street, Carlisle, MA 01741 or Chelmsford Senior Center, Meals on Wheels, 75 Groton Road, N. Chelmsford, MA 01853 or the charity of your choice.
