Obituary for Marjorie Peterson (Manchinton)
WINDSOR, VT - Marjorie (Manchinton) Peterson, 89, of Windsor, VT, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. She was the beloved wife of the late Hilmer Peterson.
She was born in Chelsea, MA, on April 24, 1927, and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie (Roach) Manchinton. She is predeceased by her brother William (Ted) E. Manchinton of Medford, MA.
Marjorie was a long time resident of Medford, MA, Westford, MA, Conway, NH, and Palmetto, FL.
During the late 1940’s and 1950's, Marjorie worked as an Administrative Assistant for John Hancock but her true calling was caring for her home and family.
She enjoyed golf, antiques, art, cards and board games.
Marjorie is survived by a son Robert H. Peterson and daughter-in-law Pamela (Packard) Peterson of Enfield, NH. She also leaves behind many relatives and dear friends who loved her sense of humor and positive spirit.
A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at 10:30am at the West Chelmsford Cemetery, Cemetery Lane, West Chelmsford, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to New Hope Baptist Church, 9422 Old Tampa Road, Parrish, Florida 34219.
