Obituary for Becky Davenport (Davenport)
FITCHBURG-Rebecca Davenport, 51, a Fitchburg resident, passed away on Friday August 26, 2016. She was a daughter of Clyde and Esther (Lafond) Davenport of Chelmsford who survive her.
Becky was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She was a registered nurse who devoted her life to caring for those unable to care for themselves. Her kind heart was open to all animals as well as people and her home was always full of furry and feathered friends.
Gifted with a beautiful voice, Becky was passionate about music and very supportive of her local musician friends. Whether it be visiting a friend in Japan or vacationing in Jamaica if the opportunity to travel arose, she was ready to go. An avid cook and baker, Becky loved nothing better than cooking for her family and friends. Her artistic cakes and pies were the center of attention at many events.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, Jake and Anna Griffin and Karina Griffin of Chelmsford; her siblings, Kim Davenport of Chelmsford, Jennifer D. O'Loughlin and her husband Paul of Tewksbury, Abigail (Davenport) Verre and her husband Jeffrey of Pepperell; her nieces and nephews, Megan Nelson, Nathan O'Loughlin, Haley, Hannah and Emily Verre; many great nieces and nephews and several dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service to be held on Saturday September 10, 2016 at 2 PM in All Saints' Episcopal Church, 10 Billerica Road, Chelmsford. Interment will be held privately.
