Obituary for Paul R. Weir
Chelmsford- Paul R. Weir, 57, of East Chelmsford, formerly of Manchester, NH, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Lowell General Hospital after a period of declining health. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Paul was born in Lowell on December 25, 1958. He was the son of the late William G. and Isabelle (Roy) Weir. He received his Masters Degree from Southern New Hampshire University in Education.
Earlier on in his career, he was employed by Penacook High School and prior to his retirement, Paul taught business at Lowell High School for many years.
In his free time, Paul was an avid reader. He loved his students and thoroughly enjoyed educating.
Paul was predeceased by his brother, William G. Weir Jr. of Chelmsford. He is survived by his sister, Debbie Sanders and her husband Bob of Nashua; his sister-in-law Lois Weir of Chelmsford; his nephew Greg Carrier and his wife Kimberli of Miami, FL and their children Jaden and Kyan; his niece Bekki Prince and her husband Brett of Hudson, NH and their son Matthew Mederios; his niece Melanie Fenochetti and her husband Matt of Dracut and their children Frankie and Mia; as well as several cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 2 until 4 PM at Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford.
A brief service will conclude the visitation.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's name to St. Jude Children Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38105.
