Carolyn L  Walters (Moores)
WESTFORD- Carolyn L. (Moores) Walters, 80, a resident of Westford and former longtime Chelmsford resident passed away on Sunday September 25, 2016.

Born in Boston on June 23, 1936, she was a daughter of John C. and Anne S. (Frausel) Moores.

Carolyn was raised in Billerica, having graduated from Howe High School in 1954. She was very active at school having been a member of the National Honor Society, a class officer and a cheerleader. She enjoyed gardening and was a proud active member and past President of the Lazy Daisy Garden Club in Chelmsford since 1973. She was a 60 year member of the Grand Chapter MA Order of Eastern Star in Everett, MA. Carolyn was also a past Worthy Advisor for the Rainbow Girls Billerica chapter. She captured many special moments in her life with her photography and writing was her passion, especially short stories. Carolyn was a former owner of Elizabeth Anne's Victorian Tea Room in North Chelmsford.

She is survived by her four sons and their families, William D. Walters and Norma of Andover, David J. Walters and his wife, Kim of Andover, Richard J. Walters of Nashua, Scott A. Walters and his wife, Nancy of Pepperell; five grandsons, Justin, Ryan, Blake, Jared, Jacob; four great grandchildren; her twin sisters, Deborah Avery and Bonnie Moores-Charle both of Roswell, GA; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Moores of Anchorage, AK and Annette Moores of Chelmsford. She is survived by many dear friends and family including her former husband James Walters, Jr. of Truro, Nova Scotia and her former daughters-in-law Suzanne Walters of Kentucky and Debra Walters of Westford.

She was the sister of the late Jack and Robert Moores.

Visitation will be held on Friday September 30, 2016 from 4 until 8 PM in the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. Interment will be held privately.
