Obituary for William G "Billy" Laganas

William G "Billy"  Laganas
LOWELL - William G. "Billy" Laganas, 37, a longtime resident of Lowell passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 following a lengthy battle with addiction.

He was born in Lowell on January 6, 1979 and was a son of George J. and Jill A. (McKee) Laganas of Seabrook, NH.

Billy grew up in the Belvidere section of Lowell and received his education in Lowell Public Schools. He attended Broward Junior College in Florida. Billy was employed in the maintenance department of his family's business. He was a member of the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell. Billy loved fishing and was a fan of all Boston sports teams, especially the Patriots and the Celtics. He loved preparing and cooking many wonderful meals for his family.

In addition to his loving parents, Billy is survived by his daughter, Crystal Laganas who is a 3rd grade student at Pine Arts School in Lowell, his brother Scott Laganas of Dorchester, maternal grandmother Jeanette McKee, his companion Amy Kelleher of Lowell and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Billy was predeceased by his beloved sister Crystal Laganas in 1991 as well as his grandparents; John "Scotty" and Evangeline Laganas and William "Billy" McKee.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3 to 7 pm at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford.

His Funeral Service will be on Thursday at 11 o'clock at the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Fr. John Sarantos Way, Lowell. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.

Interment in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell.
