Obituary for Sean Patrick Rains

WESTFORD - Sean Patrick Rains, 41, a resident of Westford for over 16 years, passed away unexpectedly on October 21, 2016. He was the cherished husband of Jessica (Brigham) Rains with whom he celebrated their 1st anniversary in June.

He was born in Los Angeles on July 10, 1975 and was the son of the late Theresa Louise Rains.

Sean was employed as a Software Administrator for Cisco Systems. He was an avid collector of a wide variety of things. He had a brilliant mind and because of his curiosity, he was always seeking to learn new things and explore new interests. Sean was a very caring, thoughtful and selfless person who always put others first. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews whom he adored. He was known as "the fun one" among his family and friends who will remember him as the extremely special, amazing and sweet person that he was. Sean will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him, including his beloved dogs Gixer and Bella.

In addition to his loving wife, Sean is survived by his siblings; Miles Rains and his wife Reseny of Los Angeles, CA, Rob Rains and his wife Sadie of Shirley, Adrienne Nash and her husband Ray of Littleton, Chris Rains and his wife Holly of South Jordan, UT, Amy Waters of Rosenberg, TX, David Rains and his wife Rosa of Andover, KS, and Dan Rains and his wife Karen of Hamilton, NY, and his aunt Susie Schroeder and her husband Paul of Oakland, CA. Sean was a favorite uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He also leaves many close friends whom he considered family; Tony and Katie Lopez, Jenn and Ross Ezzio, Julie and Janet O'Donnell, Pat and Liz Dineen, Chris Graziano, Chip Koty, Brian Fiske, Tucker McCarthy and many more.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 pm at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford.

His Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 o'clock at the Central Congregational Church, UCC, One Worthen St., Chelmsford.

Please meet at the church.

Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
