LOWELL- Ronald A. Baldwin, Sr., 81, longtime resident of Billerica, died peacefully surrounded by his beloved family Thursday afternoon, October 27, 2016 at Northwood Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of the late Linda (MacDonald) Baldwin.
Ronald was born in Lowell on October 6, 1935. He was the son of the late Thomas L. and Alice E. (Tilton) Baldwin.
He worked as a bus driver for SP&R Transportation and later worked as a driver for Lowell
Transportation. Ronald was also a lifelong mechanic.
Ronald was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. He always enjoyed vacationing to Old Orchard Beach, Maine but his most cherished time was spent with his loving family.
He is survived by his eight children, Thomas L. Baldwin and his fiancé Joan Vasconcelos of Lowell, Rose Marie Richard and her husband Michael of Lowell, Patricia A. Theriault and her husband David of Pepperell, Richard M Baldwin of Lowell, Ronald A. Baldwin, Jr. of Dracut, Tracy E. Baldwin of Lawrence, Daniel L. Baldwin and his wife Marian of Lowell, and Linda L. Stimpson and her husband John of Billerica. He is also survived by his two brothers, George Baldwin, Sr. and his wife Jackie of Lowell and Everett Baldwin of Billerica; his 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; as well as his dear friend “AJ” of Lowell.
Visitation will be held at BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 9 until 11 AM. His Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM in the Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Edson Cemetery, Lowell. Those who wish may make donations in Ronald's name to the Parkinson's Research Foundation, 5969 Cattleridge Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34232.
