Obituary for James R "Jim" Bissonnette

James R "Jim"  Bissonnette
CHIGAGO, IL- James R. "Jim" Bissonnette, 58, longtime resident of Chicago, formerly of Chelmsford, died from complications due to an injury on December 1, 2016.
Jim was born in Lowell on January 25, 1958 and was the beloved son of Ralph J. and Elaine T. (LaFlamme) Bissonnette of Chelmsford.

Jim was a graduate of Chelmsford High School class of 1976 and later attended the University of Lowell. Early on, Jim was employed by American Airlines before moving to Chicago. While in Chicago, he worked as a manager in the restaurant and entertainment industry.

Jim was actively involved with many charities in Chicago.

In addition to his parents, Jim is survived by his sister, Janet M. Bissonnette of Chelmsford, and 4 brothers; Jay R. Bissonnette and his wife Miluanie of Salem, NH, John R. Bissonnette and his partner, Jeannie Harrison of Chelmsford, Jerry R. Bissonnette and his wife Michelle of Townsend and Joel R. Bissonnette and his wife Elainy of Haverhill. He is also survived by his partner, Everett "Rex" Shane and his grandson, Hannibal, both of Chicago, as well as his cherished nieces and nephews; Drew, Jacqueline, Laine, Alina, Jimmy, Connor, Alexander, Savannah, Delaney and Maddie. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

For those who desire, donations may be made in Jim's name to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 6 pm at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford, MA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 o'clock at St. Mary Magdalen Parish, 95 Lakeview Avenue, Tyngsboro, MA.
