Obituary for Gloria M Cardelle (Muti)
Gloria Muti Cardelle, 87, of Lowell, MA passed away surrounded by her family on December 25, 2016.
Gloria is the wife of the late Donald J. Cardelle of 59 years and is survived by her children; Donna, Don (Erin), MaryJo (Sal) and Chris (Gail); granddaughters Nicole, Sarah, Maria (Dometri), and great- granddaughters Sophia and Lylynn. She also leaves her in-laws Joseph (Lucille) Cardelle and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Peter and Ermalinda Muti and sisters Louise (Gene) DeLeo and Marie Muti, along with in-laws Joseph and Rose Cardelle.
Gloria was born in Stamford, Ct. on March 30, 1929 and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all.
Gloria was a graduate of Southern Connecticut College and was a teacher in Stamford CT and continued to be a substitute teacher in the many states in which she lived. Gloria loved being surrounded by friends and family and enjoyed music, ceramics, reading, cooking and fashion.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Blake Funeral Home from 9 am – 10:30 am followed with a Mass at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Church in Chelmsford, MA.
Gloria will be laid to rest privately in St. John Cemetery in Darien, CT.
Memorial donations may be made to Special Olympics, 512 Forest St., Marlborough, MA 01752 or St. Jude’s Children Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
