Obituary for Shirley M Letasz
Shirley M. (McGrath) Letasz, 95, a resident of Wethersfield, CT, passed away Sunday January 8, 2017 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Letasz and loving mother of the late Shirley Riel.
Born in Berkley, MI on March 14, 1921, she was the daughter of the late James S. and Blanche H. (Gouthro) McGrath.
Shirley spent her life tending to the needs of her home and most importantly, her family. She also enjoyed Boston sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
Shirley is survived by her loving daughters; Donna White and her husband Kevin of Buckeye, AZ, Debra Cosentino and her husband John of Shelton, CT and Denise Frey of Wethersfield, CT, her son in law, James Riel of Westford, sisters, Elinor Nally and Gloria Stewart. She also leaves 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren all of whom she cherished.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 o'clock at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd. Chelmsford.
Interment to follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Westford.
