Margaret E. (Wilson) Manning, 88, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Wingate at Belvidere in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of the late John M. Manning Jr. with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.

She was born in Somerville and was the daughter of the late John N. and Frances (Monahan) Wilson.

Margaret was a graduate of Somerville High School and the Fay Secretarial School of Boston. She was employed by Raytheon until her retirement.

Margaret is survived by her devoted children; Anne E. Manning of Westford, Kathleen M. McMahon and her husband James of Dunstable, Mark C. Manning and his wife Carol of Portsmouth, RI and her four loving grandchildren; Lauren, Mark, Julia and Kevin Manning.
She is also survived by dear nieces and nephews.

Margaret was the sister of the late John N. Wilson Jr. and the late Nancy (Wilson) Fitzgerald, and sister-in law of the late Theresa (Flannery) Wilson and the late George Fitzgerald.

The family would like to thank Dr. Peter Bradshaw and the staff of Wingate at Belvidere, especially the Right Wing nurses and nursing assistants, for their loving kindness while Margaret was in their care.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford.

Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
