Obituary for Marie Huber (Caporusso)

Marie Huber (Caporusso)
Marie Huber, 79, a resident of Chelmsford, passed away on February 24, 2017 surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of Frank, with whom she shared a 57-year marriage.

Born in the Bronx, Marie was the daughter of the late Domenick and Mary Caporusso, and was the sister to her beloved brother, the late Joseph Caporusso. After losing her mother early in life, Marie lived with her mother’s relatives through adulthood. Marie retained many fond memories of her aunts and cousins.
After graduating from high school in Queens, Marie started her career as a secretary on Wall Street where she was a skilled typist. After marriage, Frank and Marie moved out to Long Island where Marie devoted herself to raising their son Jeffrey. Marie later returned to working outside the home where she was employed by the State of New York as a dental assistant, and later in many administrative positions where she was skilled in the use of computers. After raising her son, Marie returned to school, proudly earning a Bachelors of Arts in Finance from SUNY College at Old Westbury in 1997.

Marie, an energetic and creative person, enjoyed decorating and creating a comfortable home; she was an excellent amateur interior designer. She loved the beach and travel to sunny locals, including Italy and Puerto Rico. Marie enjoyed crafts, fashion, gardening, shopping and entertaining family and friends. In her retirement, Marie traveled, played mahjong and bridge and doted on her three grandsons.

In addition to her husband Frank, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Jane; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Christopher, Eric; a sister-in-law, Gloria Caporusso; her niece and nephews, Gloria Sosnowski, Mark Caporusso, and Joseph Caporusso; and many dear cousins and friends.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday April 3, 2017 at 11 AM in St. Mary Parish, 25 North Road, Chelmsford. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chelmsford.
