Obituary for Shirley Inez Andrews (Cass)
CHELMSFORD - Shirley Inez (Cass) Andrews, 97, a longtime Chelmsford resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Westford House. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert F. Andrews who died in 1995.
She was born in North Charlestown , NH on April 29, 1919 and was a daughter of the late Howard C. and Bertha (Fairbanks) Cass.
Shirley was a 1937 graduate of Waltham High School. After graduation, she was employed at Raytheon Corp in Newton until 1945 when she dedicated her life to caring for her family.
Preceded in death by her step-children Kathleen (Andrews) Byrt, Evelyn (Andrews) Bell, and Dana Andrews, and brothers V. Kenneth Cass and Rev. Mervyn E. Cass, Shirley is survived by her step-children Sarah Andrews, Susan (Andrews) Cline and her husband Herb Cline, Jack Andrews, Albert Andrews Jr. and his wife Nancy, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4-7pm in the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St. Chelmsford.
A Private family graveside service will be held in the spring at the Lakeview Cemetery in Hampstead, NH.
