Obituary for Frederick Keith Chanonhouse

Frederick Keith Chanonhouse, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, formerly of Reading and Medford, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 18th. He was eighty one years old. He was the husband of Audrey (Parent) Chanonhouse to whom he was married fifty seven years.

Keith was born in Boston, son of the late Frederick S . and Pearl (Hanna) Chanonhouse. He was a graduate of Medford High School and soon after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served honorably in Germany, working in radio communications. In 1958, he met his dear wife, Audrey (Parent) Chanonhouse. They were married in 1960 and settled in Medford for a time before moving to Chelmsford in 1964. Keith was employed as maintenance machinist for a number of years and formerly worked as an automotive mechanic. He enjoyed watching and following NASCAR and rarely missed a race. Keith was a longtime member of the Mystic Valley Masonic Lodge in Arlington, he was also a member of the VFW Post in Billerica where he enjoyed time playing darts. He and his family enjoyed many summers at Camp Eaton in York Beach, Maine, where many nights were spent around the campfire. Keith enjoyed that time spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Keith is lovingly survived by his two children, Brian Chanonhouse of Decatur, Georgia and Darlene Benoit of Allenstown, NH. He also leaves his grandchildren, Timmy, Amanda, Emily, Isabel and a great-granddaughter, Allison.
