N.CHELMSFORD- Karen L. DiPietro, a longtime resident of Chelmsford passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday May 17, 2017 following a period of declining health.

Born in Lowell on April 22, 1948, she was a daughter of Pauline (Lundberg) Breen of Billerica and the late John A. Breen.

Karen had a wonderfully warm personality and was a natural caregiver. She had a special place in her heart for all animals and over the years she has provided loving shelter and nourishment for many, especially kittens. She adored her grandchildren and they were truly a light in her life. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

In addition to her mother, Karen is survived by her three daughters, Tracey DiPietro of Westford, Alena DiPietro of Tyngsboro, and Gina DiPietro of Dracut; three grandchildren, Joey, Nadia and Antonia; two sisters, Linda Flynn of Chelmsford, Nancy Gianoulis and her husband, Jonathan of N. Chelmsford ; her former husband and friend, Joseph J. DiPietro of Tyngsboro; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday May 22, 2017 from 5 until 8 PM in the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 10:30 AM. Interment will be held privately.
