Obituary for Eleanor B Nei (Antonelli)
HARVARD - Eleanor B. (Antonelli) Nei, 93, a resident of Harvard, MA, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Apple Valley Center in Ayer. She was the beloved wife of the late Philip Nei who died in 1997.
She was born in Chelsea, MA on November 28, 1923 and was a daughter of the late John and Adeline (Cappoletti) Antonelli. Eleanor, also known as Helen, was a governess spanning over 40 years caring for more than 20 children in her charge, becoming an intricate part of the families whom she adored.
Eleanor was a fabulous cook and homemaker. She had a gift to create beauty in any part of her world. She was known for her generosity, thoughtfulness and devotion to her family.
Eleanor is survived by her daughters Phyllis Cohen and her husband Paul of Harvard, Carol Lamy Pennington and her husband the late Alton Pennington of Fairview, TN, her grandchildren, Jessica, Elizabeth and Gerald Cohen, her sisters Rose Bielefeld and her husband, Arthur of Stockton CA , Mary Rogers and her husband Richard of Stockton CA, and her brother Henry Antonelli and his wife, Lorraine of Hudson, New Hampshire and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Grace Carty (Charles) and her brothers: Fred (Eva) Antonelli, John (Dorothy) Antonelli, Louis (Theresa) Antonelli, Peter (Eileen) Antonelli, Charles (Helen) Antonelli, Arthur Antonelli (Virginia) and Doro (Barbara) Antonelli.
A private graveside burial was held in Green Cemetery in Carlisle, MA.
