Obituary for Diane M Arcese

Diane M. Arcese, of Groton, formerly of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was sixty four years old. She was the beloved wife of Adam W. Wasylyshyn to whom she was married fifteen years.

Diane was born in Newton, daughter of the late Louis and Gloria (Robbio) Arcese. She grew up in Chelmsford and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School as well as Middlesex Community College. Diane raised her two daughters in Chelmsford and worked as a secretary for the Chelmsford schools in the special education department. She loved to knit, craft and had a particular gift creating lace. Diane had a passion for cooking and especially enjoyed hosting family and friends for holidays. In the Summer, Diane enjoyed many trips to the beach, especially Ogunquit as well as many trips to Kimball's in Westford. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be remembered for her infectious laugh and her great sense of humor. She was truly the cornerstone of her family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her husband, Diane leaves her children: Angela Paolillo Quigley and her husband Colin of Medford, Gloria Paolillo of Belmont, Adam Wasylyshyn and his wife Gail of Westford, Adrian Wasylyshyn and his wife Jordanna of Townsend and Nicole Wasylyshyn of Lawrence, KS. She was the loving "DiDi" of Ryan, Matthew, Andrew, Lyla and Evelyn. Diane was the sister of Linda DeSalvatore, Louis Arcese, Cheryl Crowell and Sharon Shea. She also leaves nephews and a large loving extended family.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday, July 14th from 4:00-7:00pm in the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford.

Interment will be private.
