Obituary for Patricia A Berger (Mongin)
CHELMSFORD - Patricia A. (Mongin) Berger, a resident of Chelmsford for 49 years, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Lowell General Hospital. She was 80 years old.
She was born in Amsterdam, New York, on January 25, 1937 and was a daughter of the late Michael J. and Aurelia R. (Widmyer) Mongin of Johnstown, NY.
Patricia grew up on Fordham Road in the Bronx and attended St. Nicholas of Tolentine High School and later Hunter College. Her career began in New York City in the insurance industry. After her marriage to Guy, she moved to Boston and eventually to Chelmsford. Once her children were older, Patricia transitioned to Real Estate and spent over 30 years as a realtor. She was always very active in the community and was a familiar face working the polls at election time. Patricia was an avid bridge player and enjoyed playing tennis. She also loved to travel and garden.
Patricia is survived by her children; Michael P. Berger and his wife Kristina of San Luis Obispo, CA and Tamara J. Wickramasinghe and her husband Raj of Winchester, and three grandchildren; Malia K. Berger, and Ollie and Anya Wickramasinghe. She also leaves a brother Michael J. Mongin and his wife Elaine of Johnstown, NY. She was the wife of the late Guy B. Berger.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday at 10 o'clock at the Funeral Home.
Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
