Life Story for Albert E Wheeler

Albert E  Wheeler
Lowell- Albert E. Wheeler, 89, passed away peacefully at Willow Manor on August 9. He was the husband of the late Helen (McInerney) Wheeler, who passed away in 1987.

Albert was born in Lowell on March 15, 1928, a son of the late Charles and Ruth (Corr) Wheeler. He was educated in Chelmsford schools and graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1947. He proudly served his country in the US Army in Germany. He later worked for and managed A&P stores for 45 years before retiring. He then went to work part time for Hannaford Food Stores for over 20 years. He finally retired for good at the age of 83. Al was a member of St. Margaret's Church for 50 years and was an usher until his health prevented it.

Albert is survived by his daughter, Sheila Wheeler and his sister, Doris Wheeler of Chelmsford. He is further survived by his niece, Marcia (LaRock) Walsh and her husband Tom and 2 nephews; Charles N. LaRock and Richard J. LaRock, Jr. and his wife, Lu, as well as 5 great nieces and nephews. Albert is predeceased by his sister Mildred (Wheeler) LaRock who passed away on March 17.

Visitation will be held on Sunday August 13, 2017 from 2PM until 5PM in the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10 AM in St. Margaret's Church, 374 Stevens St., LOWELL. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, CHELMSFORD.
