Obituary for Eugene T Schwamb Jr.
Eugene "Ted" Schwamb, 75, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Denise Ann (Mahoney) Schwamb to whom he was married for 57 years.
He was the loving father of Deborah A. (Schwamb) Molloy and her husband Wayne of Lowell and Gene Schwamb and his wife Bonnie of Chelmsford. Devoted "Papa" of Matthew and Michael Schwamb. He was the brother of Mary Lane and her late husband Richard, Jean Cash and her late husband William, and John Schwamb and his wife Ginny. He was predeceased by his sister Margaret Miller and her husband Gene.
Ted worked for 42 years as an airline mechanic and electrician for Pan-Am and later for Delta Airlines.
Family was the most important part of Ted's life and they especially enjoyed spending time at the ocean and their special place in Stowe, VT.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 o'clock at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford.
Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
For those who desire, donations in memory of Eugene may be made to the Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center 295 Varnum Ave. Lowell, MA 01854.
