Obituary for Philip T. LaRosa

Philip T. LaRosa
Philip "Poppy" LaRosa, 74, a long time resident of Chelmsford passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 16th, 2017. Grew up in East Boston. He was the beloved husband of Sheila Beverly LaRosa to whom he shared 48 enchanting years of marriage.

He was the loving father of Charles W. LaRosa and his wife Carolyn S. LaRosa of Chelmsford. Devoted "Poppy" to Zachary and Dominic LaRosa with whom he adored. He was the youngest son "Jr" to Jennie "LaRosa" Kelleher. He was the brother of Anthony LaRosa of Tewksbury and Al LaRosa. Also loved by his extended families, Stephen E. Hood, the entire Hood family, and The Imperillo family of Chelmsford. He was a mentor, confidant and loyal friend to all those he cherished.

Forever with the Pioneer attitude, Sheila and Phil never shyed away from "resettling." Having spent time in Nashua, Scottsdale, Osterville, Glendale, Phoenix, Wakefield, Melrose, Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, Atkinson, East Boston.

Family was the most important part of Poppy's life and he especially enjoyed preparing a feast for family and friends alike and looked forward to seeing the boy's off to school every morning.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 1 to 4pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St, CHELMSFORD.
