The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Earnest Wu can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: John James
Condolence: My apologies for this coming so late. I just did a search on Ernie and was deeply stunned and saddened to to learn that he passed away. I was fortunate to have known Ernie during the 80's during his martial arts studies. He was always very generous with his time and hard working with his studies. It was truly a pleasure and honor to have known him. My heart goes out to Lee and his family. He will truly be missed.

Condolence: We are so sorry for your loss. Dr. Wu was a kind, generous, and wonderful person. My two children were lucky to have him as their pediatrician. Dr. Wu saved my son's life. He was the only one to recognize his brain tumor symptoms (at the age of six) and send us directly to Dr. Scott at Children's Hospital. Dr. Wu was with my family through the 18 months of chemotherapy and beyond. Thanks to him, my son is now 25 years old. I am forever grateful to him. I would often see Dr. Wu at Hannaford's where we would talk for a long time and always end with a bear hug.

Dr. Wu was a kind man, doctor, and friend. He will be greatly missed.

Condolence: Dear Lee,
We are so, so sorry for your loss, our loss, and everyone's loss with Ernie's passing. He brought so much to every person he came in contact with, always generous with his time, his patience, and immense kindness. Modest and softly spoken as he was, getting to know him and realize the depth there was to his thoughtfulness, and the full width of his life experiences has been a privilege Tarek and I will always be grateful for. Thinking of you lots,

Sarah

Condolence: I knew Ernie when he took up the martial art of Aikido. His desire to learn was so evident. He was a very good student. We shared personal stories of our lives. The manner in which he spoke of his wife was always so tender & loving. I missed him when he stopped training and now I will miss him forever. Dear Ernie, Your sweet kind self touched me in a way that I hope you realize.
