Alice E. Martin

Alice E. Martin, age 73, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away at Tufts Medical Center in Boston on Monday September 6, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Normand Martin with whom she enjoyed 53 years of marriage on Oct. 4th.

She was born in Lowell on December 21, 1947 and was the daughter of the late William and Louise (Ouelette) Lachance.

Alice was a graduate of Lowell High School and attended Lowell Tech. She was employed as a manager at the Internal Revenue Service in Andover for 37 years until her retirement. Alice was a member of Carmelite St. Therese OCDS Community of Hudson, NH and various rosary groups. She enjoyed a good card game and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her loving husband, Alice is survived by her sister-in-law, Rita Peters, her brothers-in-law; Omer Martin and his wife Rose-Marie, Wilfred Martin and his wife Delores, Peter Martin and his wife Janet and Antonio Martin. Alice also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday 1pm to 4pm at BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 9am at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery, Chelmsford.
