Aline D. Pelletier Obituary (1937

Born and raised in what was once known as "Little Canada" in Lowell, Aline D. (Hardy) Pelletier, age 86, a longtime resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Maurice Moe Donald Pelletier with whom she shared 61 years of marriage until his passing in 2023. Aline was the daughter of Adrien and Irene (Arcand) Hardy. She was a communicant of St. Rita Parish in Lowell. She worked at Hansom AFB, MA until the birth of her child. Then, she became a dedicated homemaker. In her younger years, she volunteered at Ste. Jeanne D'Arc School and Church events and also at the D'Youville Manor Nursing Home. Her hobbies were vast and evolved over the years, they included Crocheting, Knitting, Sewing and making clothes, growing a victory garden and canning, cooking and baking, and sunbathing. She enjoyed life to the fullest and often vacationed at "the Cape", Disney World, Daytona Beach, FL, and Atlantic City, NJ. But, above all that, she loved the wilderness of Ashland ME. For over 40 years, she and her husband Moe would gather with family and friends to hunt and fish and unplug to simply enjoy nature. Her family was her pride and joy and she was close to and loved going to family events and hosting barbeques on Holidays. She loved babysitting and playing games with her grandchildren. As they grew older, she proudly passed along to them the traditions of hunting, fishing and gardening and so much more. She is survived by her loving daughter Mona (Pelletier) Breton and her husband Daniel Sr. of Dracut, her grandchildren, Jason Breton of Dracut and Daniel Breton Jr. and his wife Chelsea of Hudson, NH; her great grandchild Beckett Breton; siblings, Andre Hardy, Gertrude Lougee and her husband Reginald, Suzanne Hardy, Normand Hardy and his wife Catherine, all of Lowell, and George Hardy and his wife Cathy of Dexter, ME. She also leaves her in-laws, Raymond Pelletier and his wife Lorraine of Lowell, Roger Pelletier of Lowell, Paul Pelletier and his wife Mary of Dracut, and Irene Ferreira of Lowell and many loving nieces, and nephews. Her brother Normand Hardy, nephew Steven Hardy and nephew Matthew Pelletier were also her beloved godchildren. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Louie Hardy, sisters in-law, Constance Connie Hardy, Lise (Achin) Pelletier, Theresa Pelletier and Lorraine Pelletier and brothers in-law, Antoine Pelletier, Victor Pelletier, Leo Pelletier and Roger Hoss Ferreira, and godchild Sharon (Pelletier) Martin and nephew Paul Pelletier. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. Her Funeral Service and Interment alongside her beloved husband, Moe, will be held PRIVATELY.
