Andrew Pericles Andricopoulos Obituary (1943 - 2014)

CHELMSFORD Andrew P. Andricopoulos, 70, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Brigham & Womens Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Geraldine M. (OBrien) Andricopoulos to whom he has been married for 40 years. He was born in Lowell on September 23, 1943 and was a son of the late Andrew and Vasilike (Serfes) Andricopoulos. Andrew was a 1961 graduate of Lowell High School and was employed by the United States Postal Service for 35 years. He was a member of the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, the Greek American Legion, and Club Lafayette. Andrew cherished spending time with his loving family. He also enjoyed gardening and playing golf. In addition to his wife, Andrew is survived by his beloved daughter Alyssa and her husband Jeffrey Pappert of Chelmsford and his precious granddaughter, Olivia Pappert. He also leaves his sisters-in-law; Aphrodite Xerras, Mary OBrien, Catherine DeFabio. Nieces and nephews; Andrew Andricopoulos, Christine DiFranco, Andrea Boudreau, Christopher Andricopoulos, Anthony Andricopoulos, Anthony F. OBrien III, Mary Wood, Geraldine Robarge and many great nieces, nephews, godchildren, dear friends, and his faithful feline companions Myia and Sara. Preceding him in death besides his parents, were his siblings; George, Arthur, and Constance Andricopoulos, and his father and mother in law, Anthony and Adelaide OBrien Sr., Brother-in-law, Anthony OBrien, Jr. and his niece Joanne Silva, as well as many cherished pets. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 4 to 8 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. His Funeral Service will be on Monday at 10 oclock at Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, Fr. John Sarantos Way, Lowell, MA. Interment in Westlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Andrews name may be made to the M.S.P.C.A. at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844 or to the charity of ones choice.
