Anne E. 'Betty' Lynch Obituary (1928 - 2014)

N. CHELMSFORD Anne E. Betty Lynch, 85, a resident of North Chelmsford, died Friday, February 14, 2014 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Charles F. Lynch, to whom she was married for 64 years. She was born in Dorchester on November 18, 1928, and was a daughter of the late Jeremiah and Anne (Keohane) McCarthy. She received her education in Mattapan schools and was a graduate of St. Gregory High School. Betty was employed by the IRS in Andover for 20 years. Earlier in her career she was employed by AT&T in Boston. Her greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time in the company of her loving family. In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by three sons, Steven Lynch and his wife Maria of Medford, Jeffrey Lynch of Amherst, and Charles Lynch and his wife Cheri of Hollis, NH; three grandchildren, Justin Lynch, Jesse Sullivan, and Aaron, all of Wellfleet; a sister, Louise Foley of Canton; a brother, Brigadier General Michael McCarthy USAF (Ret.) and his wife Elaine of Rolling Hills Estates, CA, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Christopher Lynch who died in 1974 and the sister of the late Marion Quigley, Kitty McCarthy, and Joan Drago. At her request there will be no visitation. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 oclock at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. Interment will be private.
