TYNGSBOROUGH – Caren J. (Comeau) Bovill, age 58, a longtime resident of Tyngsborough, passed away peacefully at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston on Sunday, March 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of William R. Bovill with whom she enjoyed 32 years of marriage.
Caren was born in Cambridge on May 25, 1967, and was the daughter of Judith M. (Howard) Comeau and the late Leonard J. Comeau of Chelmsford. Caren was raised in Chelmsford and graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1985. Her commitment to family was proven when she began working as an office manager for her family’s machine shop business, Tech Ridge Inc., where she worked for over 35 years. She moved to Tyngsborough in 1993 with her lovely husband. Together they raised three daughters, and for the past 33 years, she loved being a part of the Tyngsborough community. Here, she supported her children by having a large influence on their academic and athletic achievements. She was most proud watching her daughters excel in the classroom or being their biggest fan on the sidelines.
Caren will be remembered for her humor, strength, and loyalty to her family and friends. She was the strongest and kindest wife, mother, sister, and friend. She constantly put others before herself without hesitation and was always someone you could rely on. Caren was happiest when she was spending time with friends on Montana Drive, going on long walks with her dogs, dedicating the day at home to scrapbooking, or spending the afternoon golfing with family. Anyone who knew her will always remember her beautiful laugh and contagious smile.
In addition to her loving husband, Caren is survived by her three daughters, Johanna, Abbey, and Madison; her brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Jane Comeau of Chelmsford; her brother Gary Comeau of Westford; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ken Bovill and Tina Aiello of Merrimack, NH; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Patricia and Tim Melanson of Hudson, NH; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jennifer and Scott Madden of Wellesley; her sister-in-law Julie Roche of Tyngsborough; and her many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made in Caren’s memory to Great Dog Rescue New England, in honor of her love for dogs https://gdrne.com/donate/.
