Catherine 'Kay' DelPapa Obituary (1918 - 2018)

Catherine "Kay" (Gandolfo) DelPapa, of Westford passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday April 17, 2018. She lived a beautiful life that spanned 100 years. Kay was the wife of the late Antonio DelPapa. Born in Fitchburg on January 12, 1918, she was the only daughter born to Peter Gandolfo and Maria (Pecorella) Giacalone of Italy. Kay was the matriarch of the DelPapa family and truly lived a life dedicated to caring for, supporting and loving her family. Her gentle presence and kindness will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Kay is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Peter A. DelPapa of Westford, Anthony P. "Tony" DelPapa and his wife, Carla of Westford; grandchildren, Peter DelPapa, Lisa Sutton and her husband, Dirk, Donna DelPapa, Jeffrey DelPapa and his wife, Leilah, Dyanna Spaulding and her husband, Jimmy; seven great grandchildren, Connor Cloutier, Blais & Brode Burgess, Drake & Bradley Sutton, Nolan & Shae DelPapa; her former daughter-in-law and caregiver, Sandra Shula of Londonderry, NH; many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Frank and Joe Gandolfo. Visitation will be held on Thursday April 19, 2018 from 4 until 7 PM in the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. Family and friends will gather at the Funeral Home on Friday morning beginning at 8:45 AM followed by a procession to her Funeral Mass that will be held at 10 AM in Saint Catherine of Alexandria Parish, 107 North Main Street, WESTFORD. Interment will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery, WESTFORD. For those who wish, donations in loving memory of Kay can be made to the charity of one's choice.
