Charles F 'Chuck' Carroll Obituary (1931 - 2016)

CHELMSFORD- Charles F. Chuck Carroll, 85 a long time resident of Chelmsford died Monday, April 11, 2016 At Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Dolores Carroll, his wife of 45 years. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 25, 1931 and was the son of the late Eugene and Barbara Carroll. He grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University) in Pittsburgh and served his country in the US Army. He had a long engineering career in the early days of semiconductor manufacturing. Before his retirement, he was a dedicated employee of Equipment Sales Company, Inc. with significant responsibilities for semiconductor manufacturing and handling equipment to end users. He was a long time parishioner at St Marys parish in Chelmsford where he was usher for many years. He was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, exemplifying his participation by being a past Grand Knight of council 09275 and past Faithful navigator of the 4th degree Knights of Columbus Lowell council. In addition to his wife, Chuck is survived by three children, Chuck Carroll, Jr., and his wife, Kelli of Long Branch, NJ, Susan Carroll and her husband, Tom of Boston, MA and Jeanne Burke and her husband, Brian of Fishkill, NY; four grandchildren, Kerry, Christopher, Melanie and Travis and one great-granddaughter, Riley. He was predeceased by his five siblings. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 4 until 8 PM at Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00 AM in St. Mary Catholic Church, 25 North Road, Chelmsford. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
