Denis Joseph Curtin Obituary (1950 - 2013)

LOWELL- Denis Joseph Curtin, 63, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away November 17, 2013 at Lowell Health Care Center. He was born in New York City in the Bronx on an Easter Sunday, April 9, 1950 a son of the late John Curtin and Mary (Quaid) Curtin. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Before entering the Navy, Denis worked in insurance for Public Service Mutual Insurance Company in New York City. When he returned home after his service he was employed by Honeywell in Boston. Denis was an avid reader and was particularly interested in politics. One of his favorite past times that gave him the most relaxation was cooking. He is survived by his five sisters; Ann Marie Curtin of Lowell, Margaret Conley and her husband Martin of Chelmsford, Maureen Lima and her husband Vincent of Princeton, NJ, Eileen Mathis and her husband Arthur of Easton, PA and Teresa Musumeci and her husband Stephen of Swiftwater, PA.; 16 nieces and nephews and 38 great nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd. Chelmsford. Interment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
